Mumbai Indians and IPL trophy better love story than Twilight

The night of IPL final, Mumbai Indians Playing in it and at last, they end up winning the title seemed like another day for them in the office. 

After winning the 13th season of the IPl, Mumbai Indians has broken the pattern of not succeeding in even years. It is also the first time they managed to defend their title.


The whole season was about the sheer dominance of MI Paltan over the rest of the teams throughout the season. They were far better than any other team in every aspect of the game. 


The night of the final was completely dominated by the men from Mumbai. They almost replicated scenario of Qualifier 1 against the same opposition Delhi capitals by destroying them from the start of the game.



First, they fetched the quick wickets of DC's inform all-rounder Marcus Stoinis on the very first ball of the game followed by Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan and reduced them to 20-3. After them, DC captain Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant fought back and helped their side to registered a fightable total of 156.


For chasing this total MI hardly had to break a sweat. Rohit Sharma showed his class and played a match-winning knock of 68 runs to help his side to seal the victory. He showed his intentions from the ball go, by hitting Ravi Ashwin for the six.

He dominated the opposition bowling line-up by hitting them all over the park. And in the end, it was a formality for the middle-order to finish the game.



Since 2013, under Rohit's captaincy, Mumbai has won five titles, making them the most successful team of the IPL.


Fun Fact: 
Rohit has won six IPL titles most by any player 1 with Deccan chargers in 2009 and 5 with Mumbai Indians from 2013-2020).
