IPL- Sunrisers Hyderabad SWOT Analysis
In the series of SWOT analysis, the sixth team is Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH is a team which has the potential to be the winners. This team showed that in the last two seasons in which once they reached to the finals but couldn’t pass the finish line. Only once they have won this tournament that is in 2016.
STRENGTH
SRH has the strongest opening pair in the IPL. What can David Warner and Johnny Bairstow do, everyone had seen that last year. Both the openers contributing more than 60% of the teams run is a great sight to see.
Also, the team has got Rashid Khan and Mohammed Nabi in their spin department. Rashid who is already become a legend in this shorter format with his leg-breaks and Nabi is also in his peak form.
With Shahbaz Nadeem who himself is an IPL veteran. The trio will surely be very effective on the slow pitches of UAE.
WEAKNESS
Hyderabad has a strong top order but they don’t a solid middle order to follow. Apart from Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar, they don’t have many options to look up.
They’ve got Wriddhiman Saha but while Bairstow donning the gloves, getting him in the side is not much of help.
Kane Williamson is a good option, but it is very hard for him to find a place in the XI because all the four slots are occupied.
OPPORTUNITY
It’s a massive chance for the youngsters in the Hyderabad camp to show to their talent. With vacant slots in middle order youngsters like Priyam Garg, Abdul Samad, Virat Singh, Abhishek Sharma can grab the opportunity and utilize it.
Also, for Manish Pandey to perform and seal his spot for the upcoming T-20 world cup and same for Vijay Shankar to prove his skillset and return to white-ball set up for the team India.
THREAT
The overdependence of the orange army on their foreign players to win matches. If any injury occurs to them, then it will be a serious issue for the management.
